We adhere to the prin­ci­ple of assigned use of per­sonal data. We col­lect, process and store your per­sonal data only for the pur­poses for which you have com­mu­ni­cated to us and/or to which you have agreed.

You may visit our Website without providing information about you. Gen­er­ally, zinnobergruen col­lects, processes and uses per­sonal data only inso­far as the GDPR or other legal reg­u­la­tion allows or requires this to be done, or if you have con­sented to this as a user or vis­i­tor to our web­site.  

 

For tech­ni­cal rea­sons, it should be noted that com­mu­ni­ca­tion via the Inter­net requires cer­tain data to always be trans­mit­ted from your com­puter or smart­phone to us. This includes the date and time you accessed our web pages, your browser type, browser set­tings and oper­at­ing sys­tem, the last page you vis­ited, and the vol­ume of data trans­ferred.  

3.1. hosting

Data are also processed by a third-party provider that we have engaged to render hosting and website presentation services on our behalf. This provider processes on its servers all data that are collected in the manner specified below when you visit our website or fill in forms made available for this purpose in our online shop. Data are processed on other servers only in the scope described herein. 

 

This service provider is based in an EU or EEA member state. 

3.2 data collection and use for
processing the contract 

Personal data will only be stored in case you provide us with the data voluntarily in connection with the participation in the best architects award, in connection with your book order or in connection with your registration for our newsletter. 

 

Mandatory fields are marked as such because we absolutely need those data to perform the contract or process your contact request or for participate in the award, and you would otherwise not be able to complete your order and/or participate in the award or send the contact request. It is evident in each input form what data are collected. We use the data that you disclose to us to perform the contract and process your enquiries according to art. 6 (1) 1 lit b GDPR. 

3.3 book order  

During the online book ordering process on www.bestarchitects.de or by email, necessary customer information such as company, name, invoice and delivery address, email address and payment details (e.g. credit card details) is collected and used to process the order.

Disclosure of Personal Data

 

Inso­far as this is nec­es­sary, we pass on per­sonal data to com­pa­nies that we use in con­nection with data pro­cess­ing in com­pli­ance with data pro­tec­tion reg­u­la­tions. For book orders, we will send the data required to process your order to the following data processor: Stuttgarter Verlagskontor SVK GmbH, Rotebühlstr. 77, 70178 Stuttgart, Germany.

This company handles the delivery, the invoicing and the fulfillment of taxation obligations on our behalf.

Upon complete performance of the contract and full payment of the purchase price, your personal data will be blocked from further usage and erased upon expiry of the retention periods stipulated by applicable tax and commercial law provisions, provided that you have not expressly agreed to the further use of your data.

Data Security during the ordering process

During the ordering process, your personal data will be transmitted via the internet by means of SSL/TLS. Credit card information is not stored but acquired and processed directly by our payment service provider. We use technological and organizational means to protect our Website and further systems and prevent unauthorized persons from losing, destroying, accessing, tampering or disseminating your personal data.  

4. use of cookies

On several of our pages we use so-called cookies in order to make the visit to our Website attractive and enable the use of certain functions. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your computer when visiting our Website and which give us information about your current settings and use of the Website. Most of the cookies are only used to be able to use our Website and will be deleted on your hard disk after the end of the browser-session, i.e. closing your browser (so-called session cookies). 5. newsletter

If you register for our newsletter you will be asked to provide your valid email address and a separate consent to receive new information in connection with the best architects award at irregular intervals. Your email address collected in this connection will only be used for this purpose pursuant to art. 6 para 1 sub. 2 lit. a GDPR. You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect. You may do so either by sending an email to [mail@bestarchitects.de] or by clicking on the Opt-Out link in each of our newsletters. Upon receiving your revocation of your consent, we will immediately delete your email address.

We use links to social networks like Twitter and Facebook on some pages of our web­site. When you access this web­sites, no datas from your browser will be trans­mit­ted to this net­works. By click­ing on the rel­e­vant but­tons, you will get access to the Twit­ter or Facebook net­works where you can share our con­tent.

This website is using functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, is the provider of this service. Google Analytics is using so-called »cookies« (see above 4.). The information about your use of this website created by the cookie is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA where it is stored. Google Ana »IP Masking«, i.e. your IP address will be shortened within member countries of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the USA. The full IP address will only be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there in exceptional cases.
